PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System)

What is PACS?
Image Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) is the name of software or networks used for storing, retrieving, distributing, and presenting images. Medical images are stored in a format independent of PACS systems. The most common format for storing medical images is DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine).
